Synopsis
The fight begins in the final seconds of the recap and does not stop for seventeen minutes.
Omega Kaiju is not faster than Rooster. It is simply so large that Rooster has to approach the problem geometrically — fighting one section at a time, retreating, forcing the creature to turn, finding vulnerabilities in the physics of a three-kilometer body. It's the most technically intricate fight of the series.
Shadow Rooster appears midway through. He doesn't help. He watches.
The finishing move, when it comes, is not a new technique. It is the original Cock-a-Doodle Shockwave, but sustained for forty-seven seconds at full amplitude. Every window in coastal Japan shatters. Yamada's monitoring equipment — all of it — overloads simultaneously.
The ocean is quiet.
Rooster walks onto what remains of the Omega Kaiju's mass, which is now a series of islands. He looks at Japan. He looks at the horizon.
He begins walking again.
Key Moments
Seventeen Minutes
The opening fight sequence. Animated at a quality level that instantly sparked conversation about the production budget. No dialogue. No music for the first nine minutes.
Shadow Rooster's Observation
He watches without intervening. When the Omega Kaiju comes close to landing a decisive blow, Shadow Rooster steps forward — then stops as Rooster recovers on his own. What this means is not explained.
The Shockwave
The longest sustained crow in the series. The visual — Rooster at the center of an expanding ring of flattened ocean — is the series' defining image.
The Ending
No resolution to the Shadow Rooster mystery. No explanation of Rooster's origins. He walks. Season 1 ends exactly as it began: Rooster, moving toward whatever is next.
Post-Credits
A different beach. A different rooster, smaller, watching the ocean. The feather from Episode 9's post-credits is at his feet. He crows once.

Reception
Immediate near-universal acclaim. Trending across social media globally within hours of release. Considered one of the finest anime season finales in recent years — both for the fight and for the restraint of leaving questions open. The show was renewed for Season 2 the following day.
