Synopsis
The episode opens with a tranquil morning in a rural Japanese town. Chickens peck at the ground. Life is peaceful.
Cut to Tokyo Bay: a 500-meter kaiju rises from the ocean, destroying ships and triggering a national emergency. Military jets, tanks, and missile barrages do nothing. Evacuation orders blare through loudspeakers.
Then the camera cuts to a rooster on a highway overpass, calmly staring at the monster.
He jumps off.
Key Moments
The First Strike
Rooster's opening attack sets the tone for the entire series — a simple, direct talon strike to the kaiju's kneecap. It shouldn't work. It absolutely works.
"What Is That Thing?"
A recurring gag begins here: military observers desperately trying to classify and explain the rooster using tactical language while their instruments malfunction from the sheer absurdity.
The Finishing Move
Episode climaxes with Rooster landing on the kaiju's head and delivering a Cock-a-Doodle Shockwave — his crow amplified to a sonic weapon. The kaiju disintegrates.
